The Company
Fenulla Jiwani's sheer passion and desire for the performing arts began with her first performance at the age of five in a ballet recital. She built on early experiences during her elementary and high school years when she participated in, and choreographed, local community variety shows. Her interests and talents continued to diversify into many areas and her vision to create her own original work intensified. It was not until after she completed a Bachelor of Education concurrently with a Bachelor of Arts in Specialized Honors Psychology that she pursued her passion for performing. She trained at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and graduated in December 2004. Since graduating, Fenulla has continued training in the various performing arts disciplines (acting, singing and dancing). She has also pursued her training in Indian Classical Bharata Natyam Dance with mentor and teacher Janak Khendry. Fenulla has also trained in Kathak Classical dance with Dr. Bharti Agarwal in Mumbai. Fenulla also enjoys Moksha Yoga and hopes to one day be certified as a teacher. Fenulla is currently an occasional teacher with the Toronto and York Region District School Boards. Fenulla has written and performed in all five productions: "Light of India," "Bollywood Bonanza," "The Source," "Qalam-e Ishq (Pen of Love)" and "30 Dates." Some of Fenulla's previous credits include, the mini-series, "The Hades Factor," Bloody Mary in South Pacific, Tess in Crazy For You, Tituba in The Crucible, Hope in Anything Goes, Fairy Cobweb in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Fenulla is also a passionate songwriter (Click onto Photo Gallery to hear "Changing Faces" and "Light of India.") In 2002, she wrote and performed the theme song "Miss Malaika" in Nairobi, Kenya. Following her trip to East Africa, Fenulla was chosen as an ambassador of her parent's country of origin and represented Uganda at the Miss India Worldwide Pageant in Durban, South Africa. Fenulla feels very blessed with the ability and opportunity to share her creative spirit with others within the dynamic world of the performing arts. Her motto is: "To share is to live, to live is to love, to love is to cry and to cry is to laugh - touch a heart, a soul and life will have more meaning, more depth and a true fulfillment for living" Company - Mission - Shows - Films - Upcoming Events |
