Written by seasoned artist Fenulla Jiwani and directed by acclaimed director Rosanna Saracino, FenStar Productions will presents its third theatrical production, "30 Dates," to premiere at the Dancemakers Centre for Creation (in the Historic Distillery District) June 2008. In this hilarious and heartwarming story, we see frontline and center the inner dating world of Priti who is on a quest to find her "one true love." She is hitting 35, her parents want her married and her biological clock is ticking louder than ever. In desperate measures to avoid an arranged marriage and her fear of being alone, Priti is on a dating race to find the best suitable husband. Who said that finding true love was easy?

PLAY SYNOPSIS
THE SOURCE is a play that speaks about the power of coming through human struggle. Through the characters we are brought into the inner and outer evolution that takes place in oneself as one, moves through life and considers where they have been, where they are and where they are going. This is a story of two characters, whose struggles are only a point of departure for the most, deepest, sincere, challenging and joyful self transformations. As a Ugandan and Afghan, the two characters chart their lives in ways that leave the audience moved, laughing, contemplative and empathetic. This is a play about real life, in which we can all see ourselves and see the possibilities for things we have not imagined before. This play is multidisciplinary incorporating puppets, masks, poetry, music, dance and drama! The puppets and masked character exist parallel to the stories of the two main characters and provide insight and elaboration in imaginative, exciting and very provocative ways.

In a world she thinks she knows, with a dream she must pursue, Canadian born Rama is determined to become the next female Bollywood Superstar. She meets a yogi, is overwhelmed by street beggars, and is seduced by a film executive. She mingles with models, the movers and shakers, and lands her first role in a movie. On the way to fulfill her childhood dream, she becomes entangled with a Mumbai mogul and must come to terms with the demands of fame. Bollywood! Many dream of it. Few starry-eyed hopefuls actually make it. All who try must answer - how far do you go to get to the top?
